Nicole's First Post!

I was informed tonight by Kirsten (and her martinis) as I left the pub that I was also to post a NOTD. At first I was a little hesitant because there was no natural light for taking a good picture of my rather fantastic manicure. It was on my walk to the bus stop that I remembered my actions from earlier in the afternoon. Before removing my polish that I had been wearing, I thought to myself "Hmm, I should probably take advantage of this little bit of sunlight and take a few pictures of my current polish, just in case something happens and I can't get any light later." Sometimes my psychic abilities amaze me.

So, I present my Nail of Earlier Today.
The polish is "Wild Orchid" by Color Club from the Untamed Luxury collection. I suppose it would be considered a shimmer, but to me it seems more like a creme that just happens to have a little bit of a blue sparkle to it. I don't know if that makes sense or not, but that's really how I think of it.
Wild Orchid with flash to pick up a bit more of the sparkle.

You can sort of see a little bit of the almost-pearly sparkle in the bottle, but it's still very subtle.

Like the (few) other Color Club polishes that I've tried, the formula of this one was pretty good. The brush isn't massive, and the polish dries relatively quickly. It was opaque enough that I almost could have gotten away with just one coat, but I did two just to make sure everything was completely even.

It's the sort of colour that I probably wouldn't have picked up all on its own, but I got it in a pack of seven. Now that I have it, though, I'm very happy with it.
