NOTD: Wild At Heart

There was a brief period of beautiful sunshine yesterday, so I scampered outside with my camera and took a bunch of pictures of my nails. I got a few weird looks from the neighbour kids walking down the street as they saw me standing in my driveway in sweat pants and high heels (they were the closest shoes to me when I made my mad dash outside) as I took pictures of my own hand, but I don't care. That's how dedicated I am to this project.

As of right now, Color Club's "Wild At Heart" (from the collection of the same name) is one of my absolute favourite polishes. It's got pretty much all of the things I like. It's purple, it's dark, it's sparkly, and best of all... it's holographic! Yay!

It's not a really intense holo, but it's still really pretty. I'm a big fan of pretty much anything that's purple, and this is different from the others that I have in my collection.
Blurred picture of the bottle to try to show some of the holographic goodness. You can't really see much of the holo while it's in the bottle though. When I first bought it I thought it was just a dark purple with some silvery glitter, but I discovered how very mistaken I was once I actually started wearing it.
Look at those photography skills. I'm seriously impressive, managing to get one of my fingers in focus and the other two blurry so that you can see the holographic-ness. Mad skillz.

Anyway.  The formula was good, it applied very easily. I probably could have gotten away with just one coat, but I went over it with a second just to make absolutely sure that there wouldn't be any streaks or bald spots. Dry time was good too, I don't recall exactly how quickly it dried, but I don't remember thinking that it took an insane amount of time before I was able to use my hands somewhat normally again.

Do you need this polish? If you're anything like me, then you absolutely do.

  1. Oh gad, I'm in love. This may be the colour I need to use on Saturday.
