While adding some untried polishes to my nail wheel (... thinking about it makes me anxious, there are probably over 50 of them), I noticed that two polishes looked rather similar... OPI Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow suede and Zoya Veruschka. They're both matte polishes and I know mattes are so 2009 (I almost said last year...!) but I freaking love them.
I decided to use both in a manicure anyway, since I hadn't worn green since Mistletoe Kisses and that was clearly too long ago. I thought it would look cool, two different matte green polishes alternating and that. Is it kind of childish that I like that? ANYWAY, to the pictures... observe.
So. My pointer and ring finger are one polish, and my middle and pinky are another. Also I'M SORRY. I'm so sorry that my nails look gross. Matte polishes are unforgiving as hell but I wanted to wear them and couldn't find my ridge filler. I am so so sorry. I will cradle your eyeballs to sleep.
I got some bad glare on these two super close up macro shots. This is HTAT.
The glare makes them look dissimilar, but trust me. They're the same. This is Veruschka.
Since I had to work the next day (I did this manicure on Friday, so on Saturday, and it is still BARELY Saturday here as I write this), I had to add a topcoat or my stupid job would slaughter my pretty nails. I effing love the way these both look with a topcoat though. Gorgeous. Sorry about the glare on my corpse hands!
Activate super close macro shots!
Man, I'm pretty sure I see myself in my shiny shiny nails... anyway, on my pointer and ring finger is Veruschka.
This is HTAT.
Just to switch up the bottle!
Hahaha, oooooh, in shots like this my strangely long pinky nail becomes rather obvious. Anyway, they look so similar that I had to make notes for myself on which picture was which while I was writing.
Final thoughts: Both are gorgeous. You should own at least one of them. You probably don't need both. I'm just on a mission to own every green nail polish in the world. So I did. Obviously.
