Hello lacquered lovelies! Happy Friday! I'm sorry about the lack of a post yesterday... blogger was being a jerk when I woke up and wouldn't let me log in, and I woke up with a migraine so I didn't fancy sitting in front of a computer screen. It felt weird to not post but hopefully the weather starts cooperating so I can keep up my posting schedule while I'm working this summer! Also, if you don't see me approving your comments throughout the day, it's because I still can't get blogger to work on my phone... though I hope that problem is solved in the morning! It's after 1 AM as I write this and I work at 9 lol.
Today I have a polish I was going to wear while I went around dropping off resumes. I have a job but I dislike it and it's only getting worse, so it's the time to act, right? I wanted something that wasn't sheer (my nails are too stained, sadly) but was still opaque and a bit "me".
Enter China Glaze Channelesque. I looooooooooooove colours like this. I would wear them all the time if I could. I love Below Deck, colours like this everywhere always draw me in. I don't know what it is but I love them. The hint of purple keeps them from being boring. And even though I already had Below Deck, I wanted Channelesque so badly. I wouldn't say BD and Channelesque are dupes but they are damn close. It's probably my desire to own every colour like this ever that makes me see the differences. Below Deck is a bit more purple to my eye.
This was two glorious coats. This applied like a dream. And yes, I did actually use topcoat, yay!
Thanks for reading! Have a beautiful day!

That's it! Short and sweet. I feel like I've been saying that a lot lately but I'm sure you enjoy less of my blabbing, right?
What do you think? Do you wear a lot of colours like this? What's your favourite? Do you have any that you love that you think I should pick up? Would you want to see a Below Deck/Channelesque comparison?
Thanks for reading! Have a beautiful day!
I like these colours..on other people, but whenever I put them on myself I find they look bad...but I think it's a great colour for handing out resumes/job interviews!
ReplyDeleteU NEED Essie's Demure Vixen. It's one of my all time favorite soft Mauvey/ Taupey/ Violet/ Pinks lol! Got all that? haha
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for colours like these and for me Channelesque is the queen of this colour range! Looks great on you. ♥
ReplyDelete@Cris at Let them have Polish! AGREED! You gave me the Demure Vixen disease and I'm proud to say it. I love these shades and demure vixen fits right into the family :)
ReplyDeleteI love these shades too. My go to shade that looks both modern and chique (sp?). I also like sephora OPI "metro chic". I'd love to see a BD and Chanellesque comparison please!!!
ReplyDeleteLike Elisabeth said, they look soooo nice but not on me. They don't seem to like me at all. On your nails they look like they belong. Very good colour for work I think. :)
ReplyDeleteYou would never have caught me wearing this color 'BNB'. That's Before Nail Blogging. However, now...I can't get enough of it!
ReplyDeleteomggg that's the colour i wanted...
ReplyDeleteinstead i got sally hansen's grey area and it was grey. the bottle looked so much more like channelesque
