Hello lacquered lovelies! I'm feeling a bit brain dead as I write this. Yesterday was a crazy day - we had a massive sale at my work. Normally that wouldn't bother me (I like being on till haha) but there was a horrible lack of communication between the rest of us and management. They kept making announcements for all of these things without actually coming around and telling each of us - and we were so busy that I didn't even hear announcements most of the time! Frustrating! It's hard to do a (crappy but still) job decently when you don't even know what's going on. And then customers were getting frustrated because we were frustrated... irritating all around. Speaking of irritating, Blogger is supposedly done recovering all of the posts, but my post from Thursday is still missing - which means the comments are too. :( I reposted it last night but I really hope Blogger will sort this out! I filled that form out, so we'll see. You can see last Thursday's post reposted here. My week didn't feel right without a post from every day!
Anyway, today I have another pretty Essie to show you. This is Smooth Sailing, another one from the Brazilliant collection and the only other polish in the display that interested me. And seriously, guys, it's flipping gorgeous. Smooth Sailing is a beautiful periwinkle packed with shimmer. I looked at it in the bottle and it was instant love. It applies a bit sheer on the first coat but builds up nicely. This was two coats and topcoat.
Thanks for reading! Have a beautiful day!

I don't really have much else to say about this polish except that I'm in love with it. It's seriously beautiful.
What do you lovelies think? Are you planning on picking any polishes from this collection up? I always wonder this too - do people like the Essie brush? I know some people complain because it's narrow but I find it much easier to use, my nails aren't that wide and sometimes I make a big mess with the OPI ProWide brush!

do you know it this is similar to Zoya Jo or CG Secret Periwinkle?
ReplyDelete@Sara Hi Sara! I would say that Secret Perwinkle is closer to the base colour of Smooth Sailing, but SP is a creme, so the finishes make them different enough for me to justify owning both lol! I don't have Zoya Jo, but going from pictures, I'd say Jo is lighter than SS, and that SS appears to have more shimmer. I hope this helps! Thanks for commenting!
ReplyDeletethis is amazing!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove this Polish! I need to go find this collection =D
ReplyDeleteMy grandma bought me this about 2 weeks ago but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet. It looks INCREDIBLE!!
ReplyDeleteI love it ! I need more Essie polishes ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks fab on you! We're mani twins...just put this on last night!
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty. Looks great on you. Reminds me that I have a deep love for blue. : )
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this color!! *_* it's so damn pretty! And the sparkles<3
ReplyDeleteThis looks perfect on your skin tone. I love the glassflecks in this.
ReplyDeleteLove this color!
ReplyDeleteI have wide nails, but I personally like the thinner brushes because they are easier to control, perhaps because they are more flexible. I feel like I have more control around my C-curve (i.e. it's easier to avoid skin on the side on my nail wall). So, perhaps you find your C-curve easier to paint with the thinner guys lol.
Wow, that has to be one of the nicest blues I've ever seen
ReplyDeleteI was just at my local drugstore I saw this on display and I fell in love with it too! The color is just gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah. Work suuuuuucked and yes, Steve is no longer doing his blog because he now can't even log into his account and his blog was not restored either. Not pleased. Pretty polish also!!! :)
