a-england Princess Sabra, St. George and Princess Tears swatches and review

Hello lacquered lovelies! Happy Friday! Any plans for the weekend? :) I'll be working and I've got tons of homework to do... reading week can't come soon enough!

Today I've got some beautiful a-england polishes to show you from Adina's new collection, the Legends. I've already raved about how much I adore the company, the polishes and Adina herself (all amazing, seriously), so let's get into it, shall we? :)

Princess Sabra (Tristam Eyes). Two coats. Sooo pretty. To my eye, this is a really green-based gold... maybe a very yellow based pale green? Either way it's beautiful. One of the stronger holos of the lot. These aren't in your face holos like the Hits ones or the OMG collection, but they're still beautiful. This is the only polish I have a macro shot for, the others didn't turn out the way I'd hoped (as I discovered upon editing) and I really just wanted to show the texture. These are so smooth and really glossy.

St. George. Two coats. Such a beautiful teal. The second picture is much more true to life. I used the first one to show the sparkle in it. Probably one of the least holographic ones in the set (I think... I need to get the rest soon!) but the colour more than makes up for that. It's beautiful. And gloriously pigmented. If I wasn't such a spaz this would be a one-coater. It should be an easy one-coater for anyone who isn't me.

Princess Tears. Two coats. A really beautiful silvery pale purple. It's absolutely gorgeous. It's also duochromey but I couldn't get any pictures of that... I'm going to wear it again soon and try! Stronger holo effect for this one too. Plus the shimmer in it flashes green when it's not throwing little rainbows your way. This was the first one I wore and it stayed on for a full two days. Removing it was very sad!

The formula on these is brilliant, typical of every a-england polish I've tried. I love the bottles (square bottles are my favourites) and their little silver caps makes them so classy. These aren't the most in-your-face holographic polishes ever, but a little subtlety never hurt anyone. They're richly pigmented and opaque. I used a basecoat with all of this and didn't experience any dragging, and they all dried to a lovely glossy finish, St. George especially.

Given all of that, I'm sure it will surprise exactly nobody that I think you should go and get these now. You can pre-order them through Adina by emailing hello@a-england.co.uk or through Lean Ann at Llarowe!

What do you lovelies think? Are you planning on scooping any of these up? Have you already?

Thanks for reading! Have a beautiful day!
