OPI Mod About You + bows

Hello lacquered lovelies! Happy Wednesday! It feels like forever since I last posted a pink Wednesday manicure. I just looked and apparently the last time was near the end of November. Holy cow. Umm. So. I did this super girly mani in an attempt to make up for it. This is definitely not my style at all but it was cute for a day and got a lot of compliments, so here it is.

I started out with two coats of OPI Mod About You, which I have wanted for a long time even though I couldn't tell you why. It's pretty but it looks better on me in pictures than it did in person. After it was dry, I stamped bows using Konad M56 and Wet n Wild Ebony Hates Chris. Then I added little pink hex glitters in the centre of the bows, because I wanted something there but didn't want to add rhinestones. Finished it off with China Glaze Fast Forward and here it is!

Sorry for the dry hands! And I'm sorry about my sporadic posting lately, again... I have a lot of crap going on at the moment and I don't really want to bring it here, but my mood isn't the greatest so there isn't a lot that I feel like doing. I'm still painting my nails and wanting polishes, I just seem to be missing the... enthusiasm. You know? And when I do take pictures of my manicures I hate how they turn out... less than ideal lighting, failing to capture why I think the manicure was cool... Also, you know my obsession with my cuticles? I've mentioned it a million times but yeah. I remove them obsessively and moisturise etc, but the weather here is still making my hands ick. I can't seem to remove my cuticles enough that my eyes don't go straight to them in pictures. I'm hoping graduating will give me some time to get my blogging mojo back... I miss it.

On a less depressing note, I have some really pretty polishes to share in the next little bit. I'm wearing one of them now and it was one of those, "Oh, you sexy little minx I'm going to dirty talk you" type of polishes. So pretty.

... What? You don't find polishes so pretty that they could almost be sexually appealing? You freak.

Anyway, that's it for today! What do you lovelies think? Can I sit with you today? :)

Thanks for reading! Have a beautiful day!

  1. I love the bows! I have a hard time getting the tip/Konad stamps to line up right - you did a great job!

    1. It takes me forever... I always do my non-picture hand first so I can work on the technique. Lots of practice, I think... this is the only one I can sort of line up properly!

    1. Rare as in there aren't many or rare as in they're hard to find? My HTF ones that I've tracked down get the most dirty talking... :D

  5. Cute! I'm in a polish rut myself, so I get that. As far as your cuticles go, are you sure you're not cutting eponychium? That's what I used to do and they would grow back so ragged and ugly. Loodie Loodie Loodie has a GREAT tutorial about cuticle cutting but for some reason I can't post the link here.

    1. Boo! I hope we can get back into it properly soon.

I don't cut my cuticles, I never have :) I just use a gel to remove them, or, more correctly, the dead skin around them. I just keep looking at them in pictures and panicking and thinking they look icky. It's a disease I think!
