Harlow & Co. swatches!

Hello lacquered lovelies! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a good weekend :) I only have one more shift until I'm off for almost a week... grad and family visiting, yay! I'm looking forward to being away from there, honestly... the drama and negativity is getting to me. I'll miss one of the girls though hehe!

Today I've got some more pretties that Katie of Harlow and Co. created! They're cute little polishes... I'll use Katie's descriptions of them when I've got them. :)

I have four to review for you guys today - Luke's Lightsaber, For Madii, Jaws and Misfits. Saving the best (in my opinion) for last - Misfits is soooo cool! My love Jen also has three up on her blog today, which you should definitely check out if you haven't already!

I'm going to put the pictures under a cut... lots of words and lots of photos!

First up is Luke's Lightsaber. Katie calls it a "pale shimmery blue with gold highlights". I don't know if I saw the gold highlights, but it's a pretty polish anyway! It reminded me of Beauxbatons, for all you fellow Harry Potter nerds... powder blue, of course, and what looked to me to be more silvery accents, like the ice statues that we hear are in the school during Christmas. It covered nicely in two coats for such a light colour!

Next up is For Madii, which I don't have a description for so I'll wing it... it's a dark purple with some definite grey tones to it. It has fine blue and red shimmer as well. Word of warning, though - it looked a tiny bit brushstroke-y if I wasn't careful. This was three coats - it was a bit more sheer than I expected but it built up nicely and I liked the depth the third coat added.

Next is Jaws, which Katie describes as a "grey shimmer with highlights of violet and teal." I didn't see the violet much (click the macro shot to enlarge, though - my camera has better eyes than I do because it's there lol) but the teal adds another dimension to it that keeps it from being just another shimmery grey. I really adored this one! I used two coats.

And last up is Misfits. Katie describes it as "charcoal grey glittery goodness, splashes of silver and holographic glitter, sprinkled with black hexograms." Also known as awesomeness. I layered two coats of Misfits over two coats of Jaws. I actually had a hard time photographing this polish... the black hex glitter is so interesting. I got a piece of it on my skin and used a nail to get it off and noticed that the glitter is semi-transparent... I tried to take a picture of it but my camera just kept saying "lol nope". It's a really cool polish though... also black glitter. You guys know I'm a sucker for it.

Click to enlarge the next photo and look nearish to the edge of my nail near my fingertip and watermark. See how the black hex looks like it's sandwiching some of the silver glitter? You can see it in the hex stuff close to my cuticle too. It's so cooooool.

Some of these are available from Harlow and Co. right now, and a couple more will be going on sale today at noon EST. They're $10 a bottle, and it looks like Sparkling Waters is up too, which is also an awesome polish. Hotness! You can browse the available Harlow and Co. shades here :)

What do you guys think? I think it's awesome to see indies creating more than just the glitter polishes... don't get me wrong, I love glitter, but it's starting to feel a bit much with some of the sellers. Unless it's matte or black glitter, in which case it can never be too much, obviously. Misfits and Jaws are my two picks for sure! What about you? Will you be scooping any of these babies up?

Thanks for reading! Have a beautiful day!
