Lac Attack Jewel of the Nile

Hello lacquered lovelies! I hope you're all having a good week. It's almost Friday, yay! Any plans for the weekend?

Today I've got a beautiful polish to share with you. Lately I've been feeling pretty uninspired with blogging. I'm still doing my nails, of course, and I usually take pictures of them, but when it comes to sitting down and cropping, watermarking and writing a post I've been a real slacker. I've gone through these phases before and the best thing I can do for myself is not force it, so I haven't been.

But I usually get snapped out of it by being really excited to share something with you guys, and such is the case today. Occasionally I'm lucky enough to meet some really amazing people through blogging, and almost all of these friendships have started out on twitter. Sometimes they're fellow bloggers, other times they're passionate lacquerheads who don't blog and sometimes they're creators of some of the amazing indie brands that have been coming out lately. Lac Attack is one of those indie brands, and the creator, Anastasia, is awesome. She's like my American spirit animal. She understands my need to troll people constantly (it's a hereditary illness, my parents are huge trolls and so is my grandpa haha) and a conversation with her is always sure to bring a smile to my face. :)

Her polishes are also cool and today's polish, Jewel of the Nile, had me so stoked that I was staring at my nails all day and encouraging others to join me in staring. Here's Anastasia's description of it: "neon blue, green and purple glitter make this a perfect layering polish - shifting its nature and beauty just like its radiant namesake." So, let's all stare together! This is two coats of Jewel of the Nile over two coats of OPI So Many Clowns (pleasegodno), So Little Time. This was definitely a thirsty glitter but I just used a regular topcoat with it, I like the texture! This really reminded me of the sprinkles on Poptarts. What flavour would have these colour sprinkly bits? Blueberry, maybe? Does this remind anyone else of Poptarts?!

I cannot get enough of matte glitters, honestly. It's a sickness. I see them and my brain implodes. I can't tell you how often this has been happening. Anastasia is also coming out with a collection of matte glitter topcoats because she's trying to kill me.* You should check out the preview.

Lac Attack polishes can be purchased through Anastasia's Etsy shop, but I suggest taking a look at her blog or her Facebook page for an idea of when her next restock might be. You can also follow Anastasia on twitter, which I recommend because twitter is great and interacting with there is fun, and also because she's the master of manicures and will help you out any time you're unsure of what to wear or which combo works best. ;)

So, what do you lovelies think? How do you feel about matte glitters? Are you hoping to snag any Lac Attack polishes? Did you preorder her new collection?? If you did don't tell me. I'll die of jealousy. Kidding. Tell me. I'll die of jealousy either way.

Thanks for reading! Have a beautiful day!

The polish in this post was a gift to me from the very sweet Anastasia. Thank you again, love!

  10. Your brain is build up with glitter compartments I think. When you see something pretty the compartments explode and there is glitter floating around in your head ♥.
